PRAISES POLK OFFICIALS Miss Ruth Lockman, field rep resei^tive of the American Red CrossJPwas in Polk County during the week-end making an official visit/to the Polk County Chapter and examining books and records. She stated to a local reporter that the Polk County Chapter of the American Red Cross was one of the outstanding in the nation, that its achievements in giving the most humanitarian service at the least cost possible, was some thing all citizens could be proud of. She said the donors could feel sure that they were getting the most out of every dollar contrib uted, and that the officials of the Red Cross chapter of which Henry Hart is chairman and Mrs. Paul Culberson, executive secretary, have done a magnificent job. Fred Taylor has been in Spar tanburg this week visiting his sis ter, Mrs. Roy Eldridge and family. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Gibson and daughters have returned to Lub bock, Texas after visiting Mr. Gibson’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gibson of Campobello, S. C. FOR SALE1: Coca-Cola vender machine.
